Halloween Spooky Freeze @ RINK SG

Last weekend, I went to the rink at JCUBE to ice skate with my friends. The initial reason for going there was to redeem our birthday treat from therinksg! 🙂 The birthday treat consists of a pair of two hour admissions with Skate Boots Rental. This promotion is a one time admission during birthday month but only valid until 31 Dec 2015. Something worth coming for during your weekend right?

Unfortunately, we were not aware of Halloween Spooky Freeze @ The rink and when we reached the rink, we were told that the birthday treat was not applicable on the Halloween dates Public Skating. As a result, we made the decision to pay $23 the entrance fees. The usual price would be $17.50.

I had skated in the rink before and truthfully I had bad experience with the rink, not because I could not skate, but I did not like that the ice rink. They were slippery and wet. Moreover the ice rink was crowded with people and I had limited space to skate.

I was not expecting to enjoy skating on the ice rink this time because of my bad experience but little did I know..

The ice skating rink was covered with mist! Plus, Halloween props on ice rink!

And More Mist!

I would say that this time, I would give this a 10/10. I had a great memorable experience and it was totally worth my money. Reason being:

1) I went at 12:30PM on a saturday and there was not many people on the rink
2) The ice rink was not wet at all. It was frozen throughout my two hours admission.
3) There were alot mist because of the halloween theme, which made me feel as though I was in a cold country . Well, at least to me.

The view from the top. There were mist!

By the way, the express lane were also empty. Yes! You can buy your own tickets using the self service kiosk! You might want to come the morning public ice skating on a weekend to avoid long queues too.

There are other events on ice such as disco on ice. You can take a look and know more information with regards on the price etc at their website: http://www.therink.sg/

 Yours truly,
A Muslimah
